Eastern American Sycamore (Platanus occidentalis) Plant Seedling
We like to call the giant sycamore at the end of the allee, "The Queen of the Garden" and these are her little princes and princesses! Sycamore does very well near bodies of water and wetter areas. A perfect example of "right plant, right place", we recommend planting this plant as a habitat builder. The limbs are hollow and this plant often "sheds" its' limbs creating habitat for insects, fungi, and animals. In fact, we've got a lovely groundhog family nesting underneath our "Queen".
