Aromatic Aster (Symphyotrichum oblongifolium)

Aromatic Aster is one of the last Aster species to bloom in the fall. Enjoy blooms well into October, even into November in some parts of the US. They will attract a variety of pollinators! The stiff stems will branch out slowly to create a bush-like appearance and will be completely covered in light purple or pink flowers when blooming. Despite the name, the flowers have no aroma, but the leaves do when crushed.

This plant is sold as a division from our garden. It may look wilted at first from transplant shock but will perk up once planted and watered in the ground. Do not allow the roots to dry out before planting.
