Foxglove (Digitalis)

Foxglove is a stately biennial or short-lived perennial boasting tall, one-sided spires of tubular and bright rosy-purple flowers. Blooming from late spring to early summer, they rise from a basal rosette of soft leaves and grow 3-5 feet tall. Attractive to hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies! This plant naturalizes well as it self-sows freely. Performs best in full sun to part shade and average or medium moisture.
